Starting with a stone wall
My name is Markus Kruse and I love miniature worlds. I also love wargaming (war should only be allowed on kitchen tables) and 3D modelling and printing. When 3D printing became available for a reasonable price, I got one and has been printing since 2013.
In 2016 I got the idea to start making wargaming terrain. I published them for free on thingiverse. One of the first model sets I made was my Stone wall. As I write this, it has almost 40k downloads on thingiverse alone. I’m still pretty happy with it. That can’t be said about all my older models.
Late in 2016 I launched my first kickstarter. It was a combination of Sci-fi armored barracks and a modular viking house. But I was a bit frustrated by the mass of work I had to do to launch one project. So later on in 2017 I started my patreon account and aimed to do lots of smaller projects instead. All models still released for free. I managed to work up a bit of a following. There were regular votes on what I should do next. At this time, I still worked full time on my regular job in the IT-department on a bank. But a bit later I managed to get 20% free for Terrain4Print.

Going full time
Up until 2022 I continued to work on my company while still having a regular job. But then I had enough. Terrain4Print was hanging by in a thread. But instead of giving up I quit my day job. My first big project was Domina Ferrum and it was a successfull kickstarter project.

Orktober 2023
In 2019 ago I jumped onto the Kill team train. It was the first big box release of version 1. But, even though I was I very sceptical I really wanted to paint a whole army, I scaled up to 40k. After a while I got an Ork army. It fit my play style perfectly and I have not looked back since then. I have always longed to make a big ork terrain project.
Nowadays I play mostly OPR instead of 40k. But still orks. And in Orktober 2023, I made Rivet city.
